Sunday, October 16
7:00pm – 9:00pm
"’Modern slavery.’ It sounds like a paradox. Hasn’t humanity progressed? So we thought. But, with over 27 million enslaved people in the world, human trafficking is once again the battlefront of the century.
"Nefarious: Merchant of Souls, is a hard-hitting documentary that exposes the disturbing trends in modern sex slavery. You’ll see where slaves are sold (often in developed, affluent countries), wher…e they work, and where they are confined. You’ll hear first-hand interviews with real victims and traffickers, along with expert analysis from international humanitarian leaders." Nefarious is produced by a prayer-based anti-trafficking group called Exodus Cry.
See a clip from the movie and the director discussing the film:
The film is intended for mature audiences. It is not rated, but here is what one Exodus Cry representative told us,
"We are leaning to 18 and over, or at least High School or older. There isn’t any nudity or swearing, but the content in the film is pretty explicit due to the nature of the issue we are facing."
Students under 16 years of age should be accompanied by a parent.

The forum is similar to a roundtable discussion, where the audience will engage the speakers, the speakers will engage one another, and Kathy Barnette will engage everyone on various questions/thoughts. The point is to ignite discussion and engage the mind. Dr. Sigler, for example, will give a 20 minute presentation on “Israel’s place in God’s plans”. Professor Karen Love will give a 10 minute research piece to familiarize everyone on Israel’s location, various important wars, ’67 versus ’48 borders, etc. Around each of these pieces will come questions and thoughts. “
